Life as it should be

I am totally against re-caging or kenneling ex-mill dogs. In doing so they never learn to be house dogs. Are never house broken and are yet again sitting in a cage. Yes its probably a clean cage , and they are fed and seen by the vet. But in my opinion this is not the way to rehabilitate a retired puppymill production line worker. They need to be surrounded by "normal" house events and sounds. They need to learn the dog door and go outside to play and potty and not sit in a wire cage or a concrete kennel.
