On Janurary 2nd 2010 , 80 dogs were removed from Green Meadows Kennel in North Platte, which is ran by Lois Stutterheim. They left many more there in her care. This is unacceptable and inexcusable. The dogs that were removed had bad frost bite. One of the saddest cases (of course, they all are) was a Basset who had laid down in the mud at night to sleep and his ears froze in the mud. They actually had to cut the bottoms of his ears off to get him out of where he was laying. They poured warm water around him to "loosen" the ice where he was laying, but the ears remained frozen in the mud. Most of the dogs have severe frostbite among all the other issues one would expect from this situation. John Boucher , the state Vet , is worthless and needs to lose his vets license. He has violated his vows as a Vet to "first do no harm' . And he needs to be fired from his job as The state Vet at the Department of Agriculture , where he is paid $100,000 a year to do nothing.
